Getting to York

By air

York. Flights arrive from hundreds of international destinations. There are frequent direct trains to York from Manchester.

By bus

York is accessible from destinations all around the UK. Fares and timetables are available on the National Express website.

By road

Thanks to the British motorway network you can get to York very easily and quickly. Travelling north on the M1 or A1 you'll come to the A64 intersection. The city is 15 minutes away via dual carriageway.

Travelling south on the A1, you'll also leave the motorway at the A64. From the west on the M62, join the M1 northbound until you reach the intersection with the A64. York is also served by the A19, A1079 and A166 routes into the city.
